Sequoyah Parents and Students,

So far all of the Sequoyah Middle School staff are safe and healthy. We hope that each of our Sequoyah kids and families are safe and healthy as well. First and foremost the wellbeing of all of our kids and families is the most important thing.  Please know that we are here via email since at this time all teachers are working from home.  We are still available if there is anything that we can offer assistance with. Sequoyah is currently providing meals via pickup locations. Each of our teachers is updating his or her website and should be providing various activities and lessons until our new last day of school. That date is Friday May 8^th.

                We have been concentrating on making our website more efficient and as user friendly as possible. Every teacher at Sequoyah Middle School has been updating and improving his or her personal webpage. That leaves us with the task of encouraging students and parents to utilize the website. Many of you may not know that every teacher in the building has his or her own individual webpage. If you were aware, please continue to access the teacher page. If you were not aware, I would like to encourage you to begin accessing the teacher pages.  If you have not accessed them before, the following is a detailed explanation of how to do so:

• Go to Sequoyaheagles.net or click on your Sequoyah APP
• Click on the “Continuous Learning” tab
• Click on the “Middle School” tab. This is the actual Middle School page where I update and try to provide parents with useful information.
• Choose the teacher and click on his or her name. This will take you to your child’s specific teacher’s page. Here you will find things like teacher letters or messages, class assignments, activities, workbook pages, weekly or monthly calendars, and email information, etc.…

Hopefully this letter will be helpful in our joint effort to serve our Sequoyah Middle School kids from now until May 8^th.  Students please remember to check your student email daily. All students at the middle school each have a goggle account.  Student Google accounts have a login and a password. To access your student Google email type in firstname.lastname@sps.sequoyaheagles.net. Your password is first initial last initial student ID number. Our faculty would love to hear from each of our kids as we work through these difficult times together.
