Welcome to 7th Grade Math! I am excited to work with your student this year. Our goal is to build math skills, confidence, and prepare students for 8th grade.
What We Will Learn
This year, we will learn about:
- Rational Numbers
- Expressions, Equations & Inequalities
- Ratios & Proportions
- Percents
- Geometry
- Transformations
- Probability & Statistics
Come Prepared!
Students should bring the following to class every day:
- Pencil
- Math binder or folder
- Notebook paper
- Calculator with a positive/negative (+/−) button
Please make sure your student has a calculator that includes the +/- button, as we will use it throughout the year.
Extra Help Is Available!
Students are encouraged to ask for help when they need it.
- Mrs. Hall: Available during 1st hour
- Tutor: Available during 2nd–6th hour
Students should take advantage of these opportunities if they are struggling, need extra practice, or have questions.
Math can be challenging, but practice, effort, and asking for help can make a big difference. I am looking forward to working with you and your student and having a successful school year!
