Welcome Back to School!

Dear Students and Families,

Welcome to a brand new school year! I’m thrilled to have you in 7th grade math, and I can’t wait to see all the learning, laughter, and growth we’ll share together. This year is going to be full of challenges that will stretch your thinking, as well as moments when everything clicks and you feel proud of what you’ve accomplished.

In 7th grade math, we will explore a variety of topics, including:

  • Ratios, proportions, and percentages

  • Algebraic expressions and equations

  • Geometry and measurement

  • Statistics and probability

  • Real-world problem solving

You’ll be doing more than just finding answers — you’ll be building reasoning skills, thinking creatively, and learning how to explain your ideas clearly.

What to Bring Each Day:

  • A folder or binder for math notes and practice

  • Pencils and erasers

  • Your math workbook and composition notebook

  • A positive attitude and willingness to try!

Class Expectations:

  1. Be respectful to yourself, your classmates, and your teacher.

  2. Be prepared with materials and ready to learn.

  3. Participate actively and ask questions when you need help.

  4. Always give your best effort — mistakes are part of learning!

Math can be challenging, but it can also be exciting, rewarding, and even fun! We’ll work together, support one another, and celebrate both small and big successes. I believe in you, and I know this year will be amazing.

Here’s to a fantastic school year!
