Working...
Greetings,
After a much needed Spring Break, we are back into the swing of things for both the Middle School and High School Career Connections classes.
In the 7th and 8th grade classes, students are working diligently on their Career boards and presentations. We will have them completed for the Career Connections Expo scheduled for Friday, May 16, 2025. In the next few weeks will have Northeast Tech presenting the following programs and we will have guest speakers from each industry.
Week 11 | March 25 | Visual Communications |
Week 11 | April 1 | Welding/Heavy Equipment |
Week 12 | April 8 | Lineman/Agriculture |
Week 13 | April 15 | Automotive/Diesel |
Week 14 | April 22 | Cosmo |
Week 15 | April 30 | Elec/ECI |
Week 16 | May 7 | Construction/HVAC |
Week 17 | 5-16 | Career Connections Expo |
In the High School classes, we have honed in on the skills we possess and skills we need to improve on. The students have become more confident in speaking about themselves and having conversations. We have begun the process of successfully and professionally completing job applications by paper as well as online. In the next few weeks we will successfully and professional create cover letters, resumes, and learn how to win an interview. Students are working on making contacts with industry professionals in our community and on Friday, May 2, 2025 we will have a Career Day, bringing in all the contacts to speak with our Mid High and High School students about the educational and career paths that have lead them to where they are today.
It is an exciting time for both the Middle School and High School Career Connections students!
