Seventh Grade Current Events is a class designed to help students become informed, thoughtful, and active citizens. In this course, students will explore major local, national, and world events to better understand how they impact our daily lives. Through reading, discussion, and analysis, students will learn to identify reliable news sources, recognize bias, and separate fact from opinion.
Students will participate in weekly news discussions to strengthen their critical thinking, speaking, and writing skills. This class encourages curiosity about the world and helps students make connections between classroom learning and real-world issues.
