Career Connections Wins International Award

The Sequoyah Career Connection Program, a partnership between Claremore Economic Development, Sequoyah Public School of Claremore  School-Sponsored Page and Northeast Tech, has been named a 2025 International Economic Development Council Excellence in Economic Development Award Winner.

This innovative elective course introduces students, from 7th grade through high school, to more than 12 industries, ranging from manufacturing and agriculture to health sciences and engineering. It’s a powerful example of Oklahoma’s ICAP in action, helping students gain the confidence, skills and career awareness needed for the future.

We’re proud to see this program recognized on an international stage and honored to play a role in preparing the next generation of Rogers County’s workforce. Discover more about our collaborative efforts to grow talent across our region at www.MoreStartsHere.com.
