It’s hard to believe but another school year is here. Open house and schedule night pick up is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday August 11th. The first day of school will be Thursday, August 13th. This year the class start time has also changed. Instead of our traditional 8:25 start time, classes will now begin at 8:10.
We’re excited here at Sequoyah Middle School about some of the new opportunities and course offerings that have been added this year. This year Sequoyah Middle School 8th graders have several different class offerings to choose from for HS credit. Fundamentals of Technology, Computer Science, Physical Science, Art I, Algebra I, Spanish I, and in some cases HS Band are all HS credit classes available to 8th graders. Our Cross Country, Softball, Volleyball, and Football teams have been training hard sthis summer and are ready to proudly represent our community. As always, we know our events will be well attended and supported. It will take all of us working together to ensure a fun, safe, and memorable extracurricular and educational experience this year.
Our Sequoyah community was great last year, and we have no doubt that this year will be just as good if not better. Together our students and our community will continue to achieve great things. For those returning “Welcome Back” for those new to us “Welcome to our Sequoyah Eagle family”. Thank you for choosing Sequoyah Schools.
